Tiny Home Trailers & Chassis Melbourne

TTF Industries designs and manufactures custom tiny home trailers and tiny house trailer chassis in Melbourne for owner-builders, tiny home builders and commercial projects. Trailers can be configured around the required home length, completed build mass, floor layout and transport requirements. Our range includes 3.5t and 4.5t ATM trailers for lighter and medium-size builds, together with heavy-duty 10t ATM chassis for larger tiny homes requiring significantly greater carrying capacity. Flat-top and drop-deck configurations are available. The trailer chassis is 2.5 m wide, with wider bolt-on building platforms available where the tiny home requires an approximately 3.0 m or 3.5 m building width. Based in Epping, Melbourne, TTF can provide the trailer design, fabrication and applicable engineering and approval support as one package.

Tiny Home Trailer Price Guide

Prices are starting prices including GST and are subject to final trailer specification. The listed width is the 2.5 m trailer chassis width; wider 3.0 m or 3.5 m home platforms are bolt-on options and are quoted to suit the project.

3.5t, 4.5t & 10t Tiny Home Trailer Options

TTF can configure the chassis capacity around the expected completed mass of the tiny home rather than selecting the trailer on length alone. The building structure, cladding, glazing, cabinetry, appliances, tanks, batteries and other fit-out items all contribute to the finished trailer mass.

Common configurations include:

  • 3.5t ATM – suitable for compact and lighter tiny home projects where the completed mass can be maintained within the trailer rating.
  • 4.5t ATM – a higher-capacity option for larger or more heavily fitted tiny homes.
  • 10t ATM heavy-duty chassis – for large tiny home projects requiring substantially more carrying capacity than a conventional 4.5t trailer.

Flat-Top & Drop-Deck Tiny Home Trailers

Flat-top trailers provide a simple, continuous building platform and maximum flexibility for wall, doorway and internal floor layouts. This is the standard configuration for many tiny home projects. Drop-deck trailers can lower the floor between the wheel areas to create additional internal headroom. They are particularly useful where loft space or overall building height is a key design consideration. TTF can develop the deck arrangement around the proposed tiny home layout.

2.5 m Chassis & Wider Bolt-On Building Platforms

TTF tiny home trailer chassis are 2.5 m wide. Where the tiny home requires a wider floor platform, TTF can provide a bolt-on building platform extending beyond the chassis to approximately 3.0 m or 3.5 m overall building width. This allows the home to be constructed on a wider platform while retaining the 2.5 m trailer chassis beneath it. Wider building platforms should be considered early in the project because the completed tiny home may require oversize transport arrangements.

Custom Tiny Home Trailer Features

Depending on the project, trailer features can include:

  • Custom chassis length with 2.5 m trailer width
  • Flat-top or drop-deck frame configuration
  • 3.5t, 4.5t and 10t ATM configurations
  • Tandem, tri-axle or heavy-duty axle arrangements as applicable
  • Electric or air-brake systems to suit the trailer configuration
  • Breakaway system and compliant trailer lighting
  • Jockey wheel / landing support arrangements
  • Stabiliser and support provisions
  • Tie-down / body mounting provisions to suit the tiny home structure
  • Custom drawbar and front-frame layouts
  • Bolt-on building platform options for approximately 3.0 m or 3.5 m home widths; galvanised or painted finish options where specified

Design, Fabrication & Trailer Compliance

TTF can manage the tiny home trailer from initial layout through to fabrication and the applicable compliance process. The chassis, drawbar, suspension, axle loads, braking arrangement and overall trailer configuration are developed around the required ATM and intended tiny home application.

Where required, TTF can also provide 3D CAD, structural assessment and support for the applicable ADR, trailer engineering and ROVER / RAV approval requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you build tiny house trailers in Melbourne?

Yes. TTF builds custom tiny home trailer chassis in Epping for projects across Victoria and Australia, including 3.5t, 4.5t and 10t ATM flat-top and drop-deck configurations.

As an indicative guide, TTF tiny home trailer prices start from approximately $12,000 including GST for common 6 m configurations. As a guide, 8 m trailers start from $14,500, 10 m trailers from $18,000 and heavy-duty 11 m 10t chassis from $41,000. Final pricing depends on the trailer specification.

The required ATM depends on the completed mass of the tiny home, not just its length. TTF can provide 3.5t, 4.5t and heavy-duty 10t configurations and can help establish an appropriate trailer specification from the proposed build mass and layout.

A flat-top provides a continuous building platform above the wheel area. A drop-deck lowers part of the floor between the wheels to provide additional internal headroom, which can be useful for lofted designs.

Yes. TTF can design and manufacture heavy-duty 10t ATM tiny home chassis for larger builds requiring substantially more carrying capacity than a conventional 4.5t trailer.

Yes. The trailer chassis remains 2.5 m wide, while a wider bolt-on building platform can be provided to support an approximately 3.0 m or 3.5 m wide tiny home. The final transport requirements should be considered early where the completed home exceeds standard road width.
