TTF Industries is a Melbourne truck body builder specialising in custom steel truck bodies and trays for commercial and heavy vehicle applications. Based in Epping, we build flat-top trays, beavertail bodies, drop-side trays and car-carrier truck trays for customers across Melbourne and Victoria, with each body configured to suit the truck, payload and intended use. From deck dimensions and loading arrangements to storage, tie-downs, towing equipment and tail-lift integration, the body can be tailored around the job. Where additional chassis length is required to suit the body, TTF can also carry out truck chassis extensions as part of the overall installation. Flat-Top Truck Trays

Custom steel flat-top truck trays provide a simple and versatile load platform for freight, equipment, trade and general commercial applications. Tray dimensions, deck layout and features can be configured around the truck and the type of load being carried. Options can include headboards, racks, tie-down points, toolboxes, underbody storage and other application-specific features.

Beavertail Truck Bodies

TTF can manufacture custom steel beavertail truck bodies for plant, machinery and equipment transport. The rear body profile and loading arrangement can be developed around the equipment being carried, with loading ramps, tie-down provisions and storage incorporated where required. The body configuration can also be developed with consideration of payload position, axle loading and the vehicle's available carrying capacity.

Drop-Side Truck Trays

Custom drop-side truck trays provide convenient side access while retaining the flexibility of a general-purpose truck tray. They are suitable for trade, freight and commercial applications where regular access to the load area is required. Bodies can incorporate hinged or removable sides, headboards, racks, tie-down points, storage and other features to suit the application.

Car Carrier Truck Trays

TTF can design and manufacture custom truck trays to work as part of 2 or 3 car carrier truck and trailer combinations. These are not conventional beavertail bodies; the truck tray is generally based around a flat loading deck with a shaped half-moon or wheel-clearance profile where required to suit the carrier geometry and loading arrangement.

The tray layout can be developed together with the trailer interface, vehicle clearances, loading angles, tie-down provisions, payload position, axle loading and custom towbar arrangement. Where required, chassis extensions and VASS engineering and certification support can also be incorporated into the overall vehicle package.

Design, Fabrication & Vehicle Compliance

TTF Industries can manage the truck-body process from initial layout through to fabrication, installation and engineering. Rather than treating the body as a stand-alone fabrication, the body structure, subframe, mounting arrangement, payload position, axle loading and any integrated towing equipment can be considered as one complete vehicle package. Where the required body length or layout cannot be accommodated by the existing chassis, the package can also include a truck chassis extension developed to suit the body installation and vehicle configuration. Where required, the build can also include 3D CAD, structural assessment, axle-load assessment and the applicable VSB6 / VASS engineering and certification requirements. This is particularly useful where a new body, chassis extension, custom towbar, tail lift or other vehicle modification requires engineering support or certification.
